Getting Started

Allow at least 90 minutes for this initial consultation. We’ll talk about your vision, your budget, what pieces are needed in your invitation suite, different print processes, and the timeline, among other variables.

Preparing for your Consultation

If you have pictures on your phone or pages from bridal magazines, please bring them to our meeting. It helps us guide you toward the right designs from the start.

Bring your invitation count, not your guest count. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith are two people, but only one address. It doesn’t have to be exact — this is just our starting point.

The wedding details! We will need the date, time and place of the wedding and the reception, along with any other relevant information: meal choices, hotel blocks, welcome dinner, farewell brunch or any other special activities or considerations.

After the first consultation, you will more than likely need to come back to finalize your paper choice, ink color, text and fonts.

The Proofing Process

After choosing your invitation paper, fonts, ink color and print processes, all that information is given to our graphic designer to bring your vision to life. Typically within 3 - 5 days, you will receive your first proof via email.

Once you receive your proof, we ask that you PRINT the proof out on paper. We do not recommend approving invitation copy from a cell phone. During the proofing process, you and your fiancé will look for content errors (date, time and place) and spelling errors (especially proper names). This is the time to tweak the invitation copy and design.

The next steps vary based on the invitation you have chosen, but generally, your order goes into production, and within 2 - 3 weeks (longer for certain print processes) your invitations are ready for pickup at the store!
